Lemont Junior Woman's Club and Lemont Township Scarecrow Trail

The LJWC and Lemont Township Scarecrow Trail is an annual scarecrow contest held at the Lemont Heritage and Woodland Sanctuary in the months of September and October during which the Lemont community (and visitors) is encouraged to participate by building a scarecrow and/or voting for their favorite scarecrow.  The Lemont Junior Woman's Club is grateful for the partnership between our club, the Lemont Juniorettes, and the Lemont Township in order to put on this wonderful event each fall.  Scroll down to vote for your favorite scarecrow (one vote per person, please)!

• 2024 Scarecrow Trail Dates:  September 21st - October 19th, 2024
• Scarecrow Trail Contest Theme: "Be a Good Sport – Represent your favorite activity!"

Awards:

Cash prizes will be awarded as follows for the most votes:  1st place - $125, 2nd place - $75, and 3rd place - $50.

*Winners will be contacted by LJWC by October 22nd, 2024.  Winning scarecrows will be moved by the Lemont Township to the Village Green for the downtown Lemont Trick or Treating Event on October 26th, 2024, and remain on display there through Nov. 1st.

Scarecrow Removal: Scarecrows must be removed from the Lemont Heritage and Woodland Sanctuary (and winning scarecrows from the Village Green) prior to November 4th, 2024 or they will be discarded by the Lemont Township.
